Description

Hickery Bar 2, “Gage”, just turned two years old on June 12th and has had over 60 days of riding in the arena, down the road, at horse shows, and on the trail. He has Snippys Cowboy and Son of Hickory on his papers. Gage is one of the easiest horses to get along with and train because of his willingness to learn and friendly personality. I started him in November 2011 and he never took a step with a hunched back. He is about 13.2 hands and filling out nicely. We have barebacked on him, stood up on him, took him on numerous trail rides, and hauled him to numerous horse shows. He is completely traffic safe because we ride him along Highway 34 and is used to semi-trucks, motorcycles, tractors, and anything in between. Gage stands for the farrier, can have his ears clipped with an electric clipper without the use of a twitch or any restraint device, and has great ground manners. He is one of the first ones to come up to you in the pasture and is always a gentleman. The only reason we are selling Gage is we just don’t have the time to turn him into the horse that he should be. This colt can go anywhere as a 4-H horse, heeler, trail rider, pole bender, or even English. Gage is going to be hard to let go and must go to a good home.
