Description

Horse Appaloosa Gelding

Near Leopard spotted Registered Appaloosa Gelding. Very flashy!
He was born May of 2011. His Registered name is: “SDR Six Guns Bandit.”
Advanced beginner safe. I say advance beginner because of his intelligence. Our 9 year old granddaughters ride him. No problem!
He is 15hh and weighs right at 1200lbs. A very easy keeper. He’s turned out between 3 and 5 days a week; however, brought back into paddock each evening.
Perfect Ride! This guy needs ‘nothing’: very sound, utd on all shots/coggins, no vices, not sour, gets along with other horses, stands for farrier, great with vet, loves baths, cross ties, and regular tie all day long, doesn’t sit back on ropes. Halter leads no problem, knows his ground work, backs, yields front and hind quarters, stands perfect to saddle and to be mounted. Takes a bit with no fuss; can ride with or without bit. Bareback rides as well. Works off leg cues. One of the easiest rides in a canter. Walks super nice with a very sure-foot, up and down mountains, hills etc. Walk, Trot, Canters! He is shod in front. Trailers well, just tell him to load up! And backs off trailer with ease.
He has had over 3 years of professional training in; ground, obstacles, and trail.
He has ridden all over Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, Wyoming, to Mt. Rushmore, the Dakotas, and few short stops in between. Has hundreds of hours on the trails.
He opens gates, not afraid of cows. Very smart, he will unlatch a gate and untie a loose rope if you’re not paying attention. When you want to see any of his hoofs just point to his foot and tell him; “let me see”, and he will raise it up for you.
He does know some tricks. He counts with his foot when pointed to. Will Spanish walk, gives you a hug… when you hug his neck he wraps his leg around your leg, will lay down, reach out your hand and he will shake with the bend of either front leg, ask him if he’s a good boy and he will shake his head up and down. He also knows how to bow and loves to smile for the camera.
He’s a joy to ride, takes extremely care of his rider, and such a pleasure to be around. He will come to greet you at the gate every time, no need for a feed bucket to get this guy. He will also walk with you without a rope especially if he knows you’re look’n for acorns or pecans off the ground, he will help you, since he loves them.
This boy is a rare find and must go to a good home.
Asking $7000.
