Description

On a starr (aka Ollie) is a WONDERFUL horse. He is beautiful gelding with great movement and a very sweet temper. He is very willing to please and is trained in dressage, jumping, and all equitation. He is strictly english at this point but I am sure that he would be quick to pick up western reigning. He Clips, trailers, and has lovely ground manners. I would not reccomend him for a novice because he is very strong, though he is incredibly gentle and patient. An intermediate-advanced to beginner-advanced rider would be suitable. He is the son of Idocus, an approved DW, the Grand Champion and held the highest jumping score of all the stallions. At that time Idocus was accepted into the ISR/Oldenburg NA registry and was awarded a Lifetime Breeding License. Idocus then went on to become the Grand Champion of show at the prestigious Dressage at Devon in September of 1994. Ollie spent 1 summer with me at Lake Placid Riding Academy and together we learned so much. I'm sad to see him go but unfortunately I am attending college and the school I've picked does not have a suitable equestrian program. I would love to see him adopted by a loving family who can give him the affection and attention he deserves.
