Midnight Matrix (Night) is a flashy Friesian cross with a dressage background. He has been in
professional training several times, and he is now consistently training level, and he is working
quickly towards first. He is ridden in a french link snaffle bit. He has big, free moving gaits, and
he's very intelligent. He is also very level-headed. He was ridden in a parade with his rider
wearing a full suit of armor, and the armor didn't bother him at all after the first ride. He was
ridden in a few local level shows as a four year old, but he hasn't been shown since then.
He has not jumped, but he does do trot and canter poles without any bother, and he also lunges
wonderfully. Voice commands are very well understood. He lunges with or without side reins (although
side reins help him greatly in warming up for a ride). He is lead in a chainshank, but this is more
as a reminder to him. He leads perfectly fine in a regular leadrope.
Sire was Roi des
Blues aka Celtic. Dam was a grade black snowflake Appaloosa. He was originally registered with the
Friesian Sport Horse Society, now called Heritage Friesians & Sport Horse International. His sire
can be seen on the site in the "In Memory" section. We do not currently have his papers (they blew
away in a tornado), but we would be willing to re-order them for you at any time.
He is
very affectionate, and is usually a barn favorite. He bathes very happily, and he will stand for the
vet or farrier. He loads on trailers just fine. He is up to date on all farrier and vet-work. He is
for sale because we don't have anyone to ride him, and it just seems like a waste to have him sit in
a field, especially when he loves being worked so much. Price is negotiable, and all serious offers
are considered.
