Description

Donnie is a tough sell as he has everything you want in a horse - looks, athleticism, sense and WONDERFUL temperment. Unfortunately the commitments of my work and children mean he doesn't get the time he deserves. If I had the time, he wouldn't be for sale but he deserves more. Donnie has been extensively trail ridden - traffic safe, dog safe, lawnmowers, chickens, etc. He was professionally trained for 90 days at 3 years of age and has since enjoyed time in the pasture and on the trails. I haven't concentrated in the ring much because that deserves consistency and my lack of time doesn't lead to consistency in the ring. He will "come together" when asked and has a very soft mouth. He is also very willing and responsive - will walk, trot and canter on lunge and in ring (and on trails). He does move away from your leg nicely. I have also taken him over small logs on the trails. He is bold enough to go first or quiet enough to ride behind. The trainer who initially worked with him said Donnie always tries VERY hard to please. Donnie is ready for anything - to win in the dressage or hunter ring or to have fun on the trails. He LOVES people. Donnie is priced to sell as I'd like to see him find a home before the winter hits here in Wisconsin. If the distance is manageable, we'd be willing to deliver.
