Ready to hit the trails anytime! BayDoc is a powerful, 15H bay gelding, and is an amazing trail horse. I have had him all over, riding in Missouri at Blue and Gray State park, James A. Reed park, and at Eagle Ranch in Collins, MO. I have encountered all kinds of obstacles, including deep mud, vegetation higher than the saddle, rock washes, deer trails, and ditches, all of which he handled like a pro. At Collins they have an "Extreme Horse Course" with a rope maze, shelf drops, two see saws, tarp tunnels, and large logs. He went through them all without any issues. We went up a very steep rock trail and he powered up that calmly. He has no problems riding off with large groups or just one other horse. I can tie him up next to horses he's never met and he's unflappable. Twice now, I've had him tied and a horse right near him spooked and broke loose, and he stayed calm. He is great on the ground, leads, ties, picks up his feet, and is easy to saddle. He longes nicely. He loads easily in the trailer, and will walk or back out either one. I have trailered this horse all over, including a full day ride by himself, never a problem. He is not spooky and does not bolt, crib, kick or bite. His only issue is that he is still very inconsistant. Most the time he rides very nicely and very well behaved, but if he's fresh or excited, he will crow hop once or twice. He has never actually tossed anyone off, but because of this, he is not for the novice or timid rider. He needs to be ridden consistantly to be at his best. I've had this horse to many cowboy mounted shooting competitions and practices over the last year, and he is great around gunfire. I have shot off this horse, but he is not gunbroke yet to shoot off his back. I have carried a flag on him, and rode without guns through the shooting course of balloons and cones. He is a very powerful horse, but is not a speed event athlete. He doesn't like the arena work, and he doesn't have alot of speed. He is much better suited to trail, ranch work, cattle work, etc. He has had a bullwhip cracked off him, and a rope thrown off him by his previous owners. I really like this horse, and have much affection for him. He's been my main riding horse for the last year, due to my mare being in foal and nursing. But she will be riding again soon, and I'm keeping the foal, and my son needs a bigger horse and wants a paint, so I need to sell BayDoc, as he won't get enough riding, and my space is very limited. Watch his full video at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkLm9jrsYrQ Out of quality registered stock, but was never registered. Full pedigree is at http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/baydoc. He was born July 6, 2003, so is coming 7 yrs this summer. $3000. Local delivery can be arranged. Emails or phone calls will be answered promptly.
