Description

Missy is a 15 hand 1300lb 14 yo grey overo mare. She is reg APHA and is out of a Doc Bar stud and a Cyclone mare. She is homozygous for the grey gene. She has been used in sorting, team penning, trail riding, and parades. She is easy to catch and very easy to handle, clip, load, ties, backs out of the trailer, dog safe, crupper safe, saddle bag safe, you can pony off her. She cycles easy and is easy to breed. She is an excellent mother and has been used as a foster mother before. We have even hooked her up to the wet/dry vacuum in the front yard so we could milk her for a friend. She is always current on coggins and vaccines. She is very easy to shoe but has great feet so she stays barefoot unless we are riding on asphalt a lot. i take her to ropings a lot to help herd cows and she has had a rope thrown off of her but i don't know how to rope so i have never tried to catch a cow. I think she is too slow for that, too. She is not a fast horse but she is honest. We have way too many and have a baby on the way so the herd must go. She has a scar on her neck from a trailer accident she was in before i got her but it does not effect her and we even use that side to draw blood for coggins. She does not crib, weave, eat stalls, get out of the pasture, get hurt, tear up anything, kick, paw, pull back, rear up, cold backed, barn sour, touchy about any body parts. $1750.00 Will trade for equivalent amount of pannels or gates, a usable squeeze chute, or a hot walker in need of some work.
