***Thank you to everyone who has inquired about this girl, but due to an injury she is currently off the market. I hope to be able to relist her in early spring.*** Rio is a beautiful dapple grey with lots of mane and tail, and big dark doe eyes. She is a big girl, but nicely put together. Rio was started under saddle as a 2 year old and ridden on trails, in the mountains, and chased a bit of cattle. As a 4 year old she was started in a friesian sporthorse breeding program and produced a couple really nice colts. She is sweet and friendly and could be excellent at a number of disciplines. I purchased Rio about 10 months ago to be a part of my breeding program, and unfortunately have been hit hard by the recession, so am forced to sell. I have been on her bareback and have used a snaffle on her. I have not ever actually put her under saddle. She stands tied, bathes, grooms, has not been shod since she was younger but stands fine for trims. Loads and trailers fine. She runs in the middle of the group in the herd, neither the dominant one nor the bottom of the pack. Easy to catch and halter.
