Sassy Sierra (Lena's Doc Gem) is a sorrel, registered Quarter Horse mare that I must find a new home
for. She has had 60 days cuttingtraining. She would be excellent for barrel racing, cow cutting,
gaming, 4-H. She is quick and loves to run, is extremely smart. I ride her with a hackamore, no bit,
she responds very well. She turns quickly and very fast. She is a very special horse with
personality plus, a real character! She is good on trail rides and is curious about everything. She
has never bucked under saddle and does not kick on trail rides. She is an Alpha mare so pushes her
weight around a bit in the pasture but rides very well with all other horses on trail rides. She is
a real strong, athletic, beautiful Quarter horse.
Her trainer commented that she was one
of the smartest horses he had ever worked with.
She needs to have a job. I don't have
the time to ride her like she needs or deserves. I also have had a bad accident and can no longer
ride like I used to.
Every Quarter horse person that sees her comments on her good
characteristics and qualities.
She is current until June on her vaccinations and has
been wormed within a month. She is a very easy keeper through the winter.
She loads and
unloads with no problems, comes when you call her and is good for the farrier. She will try to lean
a little on the farrier but all you have to do is remind her that she isn't to do that and she
stops.
She loves water and loves her bath. In the summer, she enjoys standing in the
sprinkler or getting a good hose down.
Since my accident, I have not been able to ride
so she hasn't been ridden for months and will need an experienced rider.
If you are
interested and want more info or better pictures, email me. These are the only pictures I have and
they aren't all that good. . The weather has been too crummy to get good ones but if you want more,
I will try to get some better ones and send them to you. Email me with any other questions. I will
give my phone number to anyone who is a serious buyer.
