Glow is an almost 4 year old, chestnut, registered quarter horse mare--sire, Zippididoodah & dam, Flo With a Glow.

She was a homeschool project for our kids, 11 & 14, to learn about horsemanship, horse care and horse starting. The kids researched and used some horse starting methods regarding "horse language" from the famous Monty Roberts, Clinton Anderson, and Chris Cox. But then they turned to Chris Irwin's methods, whose philosophy is to combine the horse language with the knowledge of horse physics which makes for a very calm horse. Kids have done all the work with MOM supervising every step. When we bought her, she was barely halter broke and now she's a willing horse who needs more indepth training in a special discipline. She needs to be taken to the next step--you choose--pleasure, jumper, barrels, trail, broodmare....

She has been loved, and very well cared for, and is very sound. She knows her groundwork, and has been ridden in the arena as well as in the 100 acre trail pasture, both alone and with several other horses and riders. She is pasture boarded with a herd of about 70 horses. She responds to leg pressure. She's been loaded in a trailer several times and does well with that. She really responds well to kids and will be a valuable, bombproof horse with just a little more work.

A slightly experienced kid who wanted to learn more could do wonders with Glow in any discipline. She will make someone a very fine and versatile horse and could be bred.
