Argento was confiscated from illegal racing 3 years ago so his papers were lost in the red tape. He is in excellent condition and is well-fed. He has been living here in New Mexico for the last 1 1/2 years and during that time has only been ridden a few times, bare-back. We are selling him because my husband is being deployed and I can not take care of a horse and a baby. Argento is very good-natured, especially for a stallion. A year ago he cut his leg and I was the only one home to tend to it. He allowed me to crawl around underneath him, cleaning and bandaging the cut, and never so much as snorted at me. We do not have a saddle or tack and so the only times he has been ridden it was bareback and the ride depended on his moods, but no one was ever thrown. Because he has not been ridden much he will probably be a bit obstinate when a saddle is put on him, but he is a bit of a baby and will behave as soon as the rider let's him know who is in charge. He loves traveling in his trailer. He came here from Oklahoma City area and was fine with the long drive. As a former racer he does enjoy running, but often fools people into thinking he is a bit lazy. He would make a great riding horse as well as a stud.
