If you are looking for a nice, gentle kids pony, then take a look at Spanky. He is cute as can be, full of personality, gentle, and safe for just about anyone. He is a sorrel quarter pony with a thick mane and tail and lots of chrome, stout built and heavy boned, 13.1 HH. He is 9 years old and extremely gentle and quiet. Spanky has been on a ranch his entire life, ridden around cattle but never roped off of. He is great as both a leadline horse or a horse for a child to ride by themselves. He has never offered to buck, rear, or take off, and is very laid back. His favorite speed is a walk, but he will trot and lope easily if asked. Spanky is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and is not spooky. He travels out well and can keep up with the big horses. He rides great by himself or with other horses. He has been ridden in several parades and down the highway and is not bothered by traffic or noises and commotion. He is not spoiled or rotten like some ponies are, but he loves attention and loves to be around people. You can catch him anywhere, and he is easy to load, haul, clip and shoe.
