Description

Ellie is a great mare. She doesnt have any vices. She does not kick, bite, crib, weave, paw, rear, buck,or anything else thats annoying or needs help with. She is broke and will let kids as young as 10 on her. She is very gentle and will come when called. She stands for grooming, bathing, saddling, unsaddling, etc .. She is very easy to trailer. She doesnt go crazy when away from the herd. She is not herd bound and not side sour. She is not registered. The only downside to her is that she hasnt been ridden in 3 years,so she needs to learn the signals of riding again. For example, after you mount...when you tap her sides or cluck to get her to move, she wont move. Its because she hasnt been ridden in 3 yrs and she just forgot the cues. But when your on her and you turn her to the left or right she will turn in circles, when you do get her to move she will stop when asked, but she takes her time to stop.
With a few weeks of training to get her to get use to the cues of riding..she will be a great horse for trails. She's never been shod. She takes vaccination easily and stands still and takes deworming easily. She stands to have her mane and tail braided and clipped. She stands for hoof trimmings. She is use to fly sprays and fly masks. We have worked with her on trying to get her bombproof and so far she doesnt spook around any other animals, when balloons are popped close to her,or even under her, doesnt spook when balls are thrown around her,or when bags or blankets are around any part of her body. She stands for blanketing and is easy to catch and release.Stands for haltering well. When weve ridden her...we only used a halter with reins...we used a bridle with a snaffle bit once and she did great in it.

We do not have a horse trailer so the buyer will have to pick her up.The price is firm.We are only selling because we have no time for her.

I have pictures and videos of her.Email for pics and videos.
