Vixen is a registered thoroughbred with The Jockey Club under the name "Quick As A Fox" She has only
had two owners. The first being my grandparents who bred and raised her, the second being myself.
Vixen is 16 HH. She is a classy well built chestnut TB with a blaze and a white left
hind sock. She did race as a 2 and 3 year old. Vixen has no lameness issues. At the moment she is
fully shod. She has not been used as a broodmare. Vixen is VERY versatile!
She is
wonderful on trails and amazing on roads. She will cross water, bridges, and other trail obstacles
with ease. Is used to being taken back country camping, and can be ridden anywhere down the road
safely with other horses or BY HERSELF. She is not herd bound. She will pony other horses as well as
accept being ponied. As well as trails and roads, she is very willing to work cattle. I have penned
off of her a number of times and she gets quite "cowy". Most of the penners have assumed she is a
large quarter horse due to how easily she has adjusted to working cattle and her exceptionally
muscular build. Her ring work is quite nice and she goes English as well as Western. She has been
started over jumps but I haven't pursued it much seeing as how it is not my forte. However she shows
an inclination towards jumping as well.
Vixen is very kind, affectionate, and honest. I
really think she would make someone a wonderful horse as she was a fantastic and reliable mount for
me. The reason I am selling is I have three horses and as a farrier am not finding I have the proper
time to spend with her, as such a wonderful horse deserves.
