UPDATE: 9-13-09 :Ruby trotted and loped the poles, key, barrels at the Jesse James Show on Saturday. She did beautifully in the warm up with game horses speeding by her. She picked up her leads 95% of the time, and never once shied at all the activity. we were at the show for 9 hours without any issues. She drank water and ate hay and stood by the trailer, even by herself ALL Day! 9-9-09: I have taken Ruby to three shows and she is now riding in the shows. I took her to Haycreek riding trails, going through water, AND bridges etc... for a 5 HOUR ride over Labor Day Weekend. She was wonderful!
Ruby has had professional undersaddle training as a two and tho and a half year old. She then went to the track as a three year old for two months, but NEVER breezed or raced. The trainer said she was the favorite of the shedrow and that she would make an awesome kids hunter/jumper. She is awesome on trail! Wish I had the time. She has the mind and confirmation to be a hunter jumper, dressage, game, trail horse, pleasure. She is solid in mind and body. She has been raised with quarter horses, nothing phases her. She loads, shoes, ties, rides, lunges, stands for clippers, etc... she is respectful and fun. Come try her. I just can't keep her and with the market the way it is, she is going for nothing, but she needs someone to take good care of her and give her a job. I have some short video of her being ridden in the arena.
