i have an 8 year old chestnut quarterhorse named Scout for sale. ive only had him for a few months becasue i bought him from a friend when she moved away in hopes of finding him a new home somewhere locally or to keep him. but i am at college now and would like ot find him a loving home who will give him the attention he needs before the winter. Scout is fully broke, but has not been really ridden in a long time so he needs someone who can help him get back up to snuff. ive ridden hi ma few times and hes just a little confused and needs some consistancy to remreber all he knew. his previous owner worked a lot with him on ground manners like standing still, following, and saddling up quietly, but i have not had him long enough to teach him more because ive been so busy. He has a thick and stocky-ish build and is around 15.2 or 15.3 hands, a good height for jsut about any rider. he is good on trails and walks and trots on cmmend, tho he needs a bit of encouragement to canter, mostly due to lack of riding. all together Scout is a big lovey boy (who likes to give kisses :P ) who needs a good home with someone who will unlock his potential. i would recommend an expirienced rider who isnt afraid to take on a challenge if hes having a bad day but is soft and kind for a big baby like him. i would also reccomend high fencing (he likes to jump haha) and jumping would be a great thing to train him for. he goes both english and western. i think he will be a great jumper or english/western pleasure horse and could probably be a sport horse and a great trail buddy.
i am asking $1500 for him, but he has a lot of potential. i wouldnt post him for this price if i didnt think he was worth it. i cant trailer him but if necessary i may be able to get a friend to help. feel free to email me at spaparella@rocketmail.com for questions or pictures and if your interested we can set up a time for you to visit and try him out if you like.
